Katrin encourages responsible business

As a part of Metsä Tissue, a Metsä Group company, everything we do at Katrin involves sustainability.

  1. We are committed to following the international principles of sustainable development and always demand ethical working methods.
  2. We consider the social, environmental and economic effects of all of our operations.

We ensure sustainable harvesting that takes both environmental and social values into account, including nature and biodiversity. Harvesting covers some 1-2% annually of our forest area, and we plant 4 seedling per each harvested tree. In fact, renewal is required by the Finnish Forest Act, originating from 1886, which is the oldest Act of its kind in the world.

Sustainable forestry creates long term jobs for millions of people. In northern Europe, a job in forestry can generate three or more additional jobs in the value chain.
Our objective is to contribute to people’s wellbeing through our products and practices. We strive to minimise the environmental impacts of our operations and products throughout their life cycle, from sourcing of raw materials to production and consumption right through to their disposal. We do this in co-operation with our suppliers, customers, business partners and consumers.

Katrin helps you to find optimal solutions that increase productivity, reduce costs, and minimise absence from illness.

Katrin reduces the environmental burden at every stage of operations and throughout product life cycles.

We generate well-being at work, in local communities, and in society as a whole and we commit to global sustainability principles. By behaving responsibly towards our employees and society, we can improve the quality of life for our stakeholders.
