Katrin is always clean & green – washroom products and solutions that are good for people and the planet

What’s good for our customers and end-users, is good for nature as well. Soft hands, absorption capacity, durability; they are all signs of high quality and spotless hygiene – but also evidence of sustainability. Lower consumption and lower cost in use are achieved through optimized dispensers with high-quality paper products.

Our environmental efforts are acknowledged: In 2023 Metsä Tissue was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum rating. Moreover, Katrin products carry the Nordic and EU eco-labels and our forest management policies comply with certificates such as PEFC and FSC.

Less consumption, waste and costs in use

When you choose the right products, such as tissue papers made of fresh fibre or economical foam soap, you'll have less consumption, less waste and less labor intensive work. Plus, our robust and durable dispensers have completely recyclable plastic parts. And the black ones are made of recycled plastic.

Logistics & warehousing made more efficient

Thanks to lower consumption, you also have fewer products to store and transport. We also aim to produce our goods close to customers; the majority of our tissue papers are manufactured within 500 km from the place of use. All this reduces CO2 emissions significantly.

Production where nothing is wasted

Our goal is to make our mills fossil-free by 2030 but already today, we are making progress on many fronts. For example, we utilize every part of the tree and make sure other resources are used as efficiently as possible.

We know the origin of the wood we use. Our raw material comes from northern forests, where growth outpaces use. We ensure their sustainable management, growth and nature values. Third-party forest certification signifies legal and sustainable forest use for us and our customers.
