Less consumption

Lower consumption has a positive effect on the total economy, hygiene
and the environment. Katrin’s performance products save resources
throughout their life cycle: purchasing, delivery, storage, internal transport,
refilling, usage, and waste management.

Katrin’s performance products save resources throughout their life cycle:

  • Lower consumption, causing less waste
  • Compliance with environmental requirements
  • Functionality

Crucial factors in consumption are the properties of the paper. A unique
pulp composition with long fibres promises high absorbency in all our tissue
products. In turn, high absorption means faster drying and less paper
consumption.

Functionality is provided by the properties of the dispenser

Katrin System dispensers reduce consumption by feeding out paper in flat
sheets of the right size. This minimises consumption, and as a result
the usage is optimal causing less wastage.

Minimise work time - save time and money

Katrin One Stop and Non Stop paper towels are dispensed one by one in flat sheets. Each towel has a large active drying surface, which means lower consumption and less refilling. Some people may argue that “Katrin products cost a lot per metre, it can never pay off.” However, research shows that the greatest cost is labour, service and maintenance, such as refilling dispensers, emptying wastebaskets. Only 1.5 per cent of the total cost goes on the actual purchase of tissue paper.

Lower consumption also brings environmental benefits, mainly in the form of:

  • Less waste
  • Less waste management
  • Less transportation
  • Less environmental burden

Further advantages of lower consumption are:

  • Lower purchase volume
  • Less internal transport
  • Less paper needs to be kept in stock
