While good hand hygiene is important everywhere, it is particularly important in locations such as workplaces, schools, malls, hospitals, airports and other public areas. These public locations often serve as focal points for transmitting infectious diseases. Katrin Washroom Program has successfully stressed the importance of communal hygiene and activates hands-on development programs to support it everywhere.

As one example, Katrin UK will soon launch a new training programme, for both Katrin distributors and their end-customers, called Katrin Academy. Katrin Academy is primarily about customers learning together, through practical exercises. The training includes an overview of the cleaning industry as a whole by guest speakers from a variety of industry organisations, future trends of hygiene, environmental and other responsibility issues and various studies about public opinions and behavior. The customer-oriented part of the training will introduce Katrin Hygiene Consultancy, the new service model which makes it easy to map out hygiene needs of an entire organisation, often during just one visit.
